Lots of August birthdays! August 18th would also have been my mom's birthday. We miss her friendship, wisdom and how she liked to care for her family and grandkids. We all think about her often.
It's also feeling too adult-like in my house this month as this is the first time in 15 years when we are not involved in all of the back to school shopping and planning. Shane will be spending his first semester at home completing his internship instead of going back to school. So that's just a little strange to me!

We think of Edna often as well, we laugh at the time Fran and Edna were on the trampoline (at Norman/Diane's farm-family reunion)laughing so hard they were going to pee their pants.... I can still hear Edna's laugh today! She was a great person and is missed
Speaking of school starting, our boys start Aug.7th. Summer vacation is over. And it's hot, hot, hot for the first week of school. Hope the air conditioner is working at the school. The boys are freshmen this year.
August 7?!? Oh man, we don't start till about September 7th. Now I suddenly feel like I have been given an extra month of summer...
Oh yeah, and my anniversary is on the 14th.
