Science Fair Winners

Well, it's science fair season at our house again! This year, both Nathan and Ryan, placed at both the school level and the county level. Nathan received first place and Ryan honorable mention at the school level. They both went on to the county level (as pictured here) where Nathan received Reserved Grand Champion and Ryan honorable mention. They are both eligible for regional at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Unfortunately, Ryan has declined going on. He's not quite as secure in science competitions as Nathan is. March 5th, 6th and 7th is the competition dates. Nathan's entry is on "Fuels of the Future" and Ryan's was "Lights, Camera, Capture!" Nathan's experiment involved creating hydrogen to run a two stroke engine. (Yes, we had a few explosions!! But. . . the house is still standing and intact.) Ryan's project involved the use of a strobe light which created multiple images in single photos.
