old pictures....
Ok, I got these old negatives from my parents who asked me to see if I could get prints made. Well, I haven't gotten them printed, but I did get them scanned and am now posting them for everyone's viewing pleasure. And I am now waiting impatiently for comments to see who knows the background stories on these...

I'll transfer these photos on my computer and print photos and send them to Mom. I'm sure she can fill in on the stories.
Dawn, are you able to make prints at home? If not, I can and will send you copies if you like. I made prints to send to Mom.
Once I got them scanned, it was easy to get prints made. It was fun showing them to my son to see if he could pick out Grandpa as a kid in the pictures...
Well, in the top photo, I believe Norman had just made his first Holy Communion and had to have is picture taken. And I think they figured that as long as you were gonna waste the film on one of us, you might as well stick us all in. You notice that no one bothered to tell me the picture was about to be taken! I'm watching the roosters.
Those roosters were probably much more interesting, Leo!
Mom sent back a letter and this is what the photos are about: the picture of the house was new when Grandma and Grandpa got married and wasn't painted yet. The car was Grandpa's when he and Grandma were first married. The photo of the five boys supposedly was taken by Mom. It appears that Marvin didn't want his picture taken so the camera person must have told him to smile which is why the other 2 youngest are looking at him. And, finally, yes, Leo, that was Norman's first communion because everyone is wearing their "Sunday suits".
