We need your prayers for Barb please

I know we all believe in the power of prayer and our sister, Barb, would surely appreciate yours right now. Barb was diagnosed with liver cancer this week and will be treated at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Of course we all are worried but hopeful for a good outcome. Please offer up your prayers for her. Thanks !

Darlene and the rest of the Kraus family.

Catching Santa Claus Anyone?

At this time of year, we always have to remember the joke growing up of Dad (Don) threatening to catch Santa Claus by laying a rope with a loop out on the floor so that when Santa would step in, he would yank on the rope and catch Santa. Of course, when we were little, this was part thrilling to imagine, and also part horror that it might actually happen! This was apparently an old trick of Grandpa's that he played on them. I don't remember us kids talking about it with each other and wondered if any of the other Dad's tried to play this trick on their kids.

Bob, the equally mischievous one, of course, found this to be an hilarious story and tried it a couple of times on Shane, who pretty much had the same reaction that we did when we were little.

I hope everyone is having a good Christmas making fun memories with your families.

Need your pictures for DVD of Schettler Family

OK my Christmas shopping is done and now I am ready to start scanning pictures. I will be making a Schettler Family DVD starting with a few pictures of Florentine and Leonard's grandparents, parents and working our way forward. With all the nice new technology I would love for the pictures to be emailed to me - if you don't have access to that please send on a disk or copies of your pictures.

Since I am just a "married" Schettler :) I will be honest that I don't know everyone's names (don't think Tony does either!). So if every child (those names I do know) or grandchild could let everyone in their immediate families know of this project. We would like wedding pictures from all the children (Norm, etc.) and we would also like a picture of grandchildren and great-grandchildren (if with Grandma or Grandpa would be great.) If you have family pictures with everyone (Norm/Diane and the crew) that would also be great to have.

Please bear with me as I may have many questions most of which I will direct to Norm and Diane. And remember I am no professional at this - but I will do my best.

One more thing - I did this a few years ago for my grandparents and asked for each child, grandchild, etc. to give a fond memory they have.

Thanks! I should know everyone's name when completed :) Try to get me your pictures by Jan. 15th.
