April Assignment - Clarification

When I said that the April assignment was to write your Grandma memories, I was being egocentric. What I really meant was to write you favorite memories of Florentine Schettler. So, this means that I would love to hear from all of her children. I am sure there are lots of great memories that you all have. Let's have 'em!

Dear Tech Coach! What have I done wrong that my entries have disappeared, plus if you notice by my comments to other people's entries, you'll see that I have a trash can by my entries, but no one else does. I looked at my profile, but can't figure out if there is something that I need to change. HELP??

Patti, I have them by my entries also and I don't see them on other posts. They are there for you to delete if you so desire. Nice to know that not everything is permanent. As for your entries disappearing, that I cannot explain but maybe Lisa has the answer for that, although I, myself, haven't noticed any of your entries missing.

Debbie is right about the trash can - you can delete your own comments but no one elses. And as for the entries disappearing, they just aren't displayed on the main page anymore so you don't have to scroll for days to see the entries. In the lower right hand corner you should see the archives where you can go back and re-read anything that has been posted.

I would like to hear from Grandma's children about Grandpa's violin. What's the scoop on that? Didn't even know Grandpa owned a violin until I read Dawn's post. Let's hear some of those stories and I know there out there, because Mom has told me a few of them. Would love to hear your side of the stories.

Debbie, do you know any violin stories? What are they?

I didn't even know until I saw Dawn's posting about Grandpa's violin. Leo is wondering where the violin is now. I did inform him that I thought Dawn had it since she was the one who was taking the lessons while in school. Now, I find out that Grandpa could play the harmonica as well. Grandpa had secrets.

Yup, I still have the violin. I desparately need to get the bow restrung and new strings so I can play it again... Someday... Soon...
